Enhancing Adaptive Management and Grant Management Skills: GEAR Training in Lusaka, Zambia
Girls Education Advocacy in the Region (GEAR) is committed to strengthening the capacity of education advocates and practitioners across Southern Africa. As part of this mission, GEAR is conducting an intensive training on Adaptive Management and Grant Management from March 17-19, 2025, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka, Zambia. This training aims to equip participants with essential skills to navigate the complexities of education programming, ensuring efficient resource management and impactful decision-making.




The training focuses on three key objectives. First, it seeks to build a practical understanding of adaptive management, enabling participants to assess risks and develop effective problem-solving strategies. Second, it enhances their ability to apply real-time adaptive management techniques, fostering agile decision-making in response to changing circumstances. Finally, the training introduces simple yet effective tools for monitoring and evaluation (M&E), empowering participants to track progress and refine strategies for better outcomes.
Representing Girls Activist Youth Organisation (GAYO) at this crucial training is the Executive Director Richard Batch and Finance and Administrative Manager Tracy Mandala. They are joined by other implementing partners, including representatives from the Farming Community Educational Trust (FACET) in Zimbabwe and the National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ).
