GAYO and SRMNCAH+N Youth Platform Join Forces for National Youth Dialogue!
Calling all young girls and activists! Get ready to raise your voices and champion change in Malawi’s Sexual Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Adolescent Health + Nutrition (SRMNCAH+N) programs. The Girls Activist Youth Organisation (GAYO), in collaboration with the SRMNCAH+N Youth Platform, proudly presents a National Youth Dialogue on SRHR and YFHS! This dynamic event will take place on [13th December, 2023] in Lilongwe, and it promises to be a powerful platform for young girls to advocate for their health rights and drive positive change.
Empowering Girls, Transforming Healthcare;This dialogue, themed “Girl Power Rising: Amplifying Voices and Catalyzing Change for Improved SRHR/YFHS Financing and Accountability,” aims to
- Provide a safe space for young girls to share their experiences, challenges, and aspirations regarding SRHR and YFHS.
- Equip girls with knowledge and skills to advocate effectively for their health rights and hold decision-makers accountable.
- Spark meaningful discussions and collaborations among youth leaders, policymakers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop concrete recommendations to improve SRHR and YFHS programs and policies to better meet the needs of young girls in Malawi.
This dialogue will prioritize the voices and perspectives of young girls. The agenda will feature:
- Interactive workshops led by experienced facilitators on topics like sexual health education, menstrual hygiene management, and navigating healthcare services.
